From the wharf a short transfer will take you to the local market where Chef Massimo Capra, along with your local chef, will accompany you to purchase local ingredients which will be used during your culinary experience. At the town market you will see a selection of herbs, spices, fruits and vegetables displayed in colorful stalls. Your culinary experience will begin here as your chef will introduce you to the fruit, vegetables and spices used in the traditional Caribbean cooking.
Following your market experience a short drive brings you to the culinary center located at a family home nestled in the tropical rain forest. This unique venue has been used for filming the television series ‘Lyon in the Kitchen’ featuring renowned TV chef Nathan Lyon. En route, take in the colorful blooms, towering trees, lush landscapes, and spectacular panoramic views.
On arrival you are greeted by your hostess, and introduced to the herbs and fresh organic products that will be used. Enjoy a culinary introduction to Caribbean cuisine; using the ingredients purchased earlier at the market you will learn how to prepare some sumptuous local dishes.
Today, your choices are endless - you can prepare a local delicacy, savor panoramic views of the mountains or the Caribbean Sea, enjoy basking in the Dominican sunshine or stroll on the property learning about the fruits and spices. Either way full servings of fun, rum, and laughter are guaranteed.

This is truly a rare opportunity to visit and indulge on a privately owned island!
You will be met at the pier and driven in an air-conditioned taxi to the short stretch of beach by the Hodges Bay Club. From here you take a short boat ride to your private and secluded island for the day, 'Prickly Pear Island' - one of Antigua's best-kept secret hideaways.
Time will stand still as you arrive on this friendly family run island. There is an open bar all day where you can enjoy beers, rum punch, rum, coke, fruit punch, water and soft drinks. Prior to lunch, there will be very snacks available, including fried plantain, freshly boiled sliced ham, crisps, and freshly made bread.
The stunningly clear waters are great for swimming and snorkelling. The experienced crew knows every inch of the island's reef and, after a lesson in snorkelling in shallow water, the crew will take you through the reef on a mesmerising underwater tour, including the great possibility of finding the local turtle families of the area. Or you can simply take a swim or relax and soak up the sun on your sun chair, shaded by an umbrella, in this utterly idyllic location, viewing the ocean and Antiguan coastline.
You can even take an interesting short stroll up the little hillside with its wild flowers, onto the grassy top, and down the other side to the extraordinary 'moonscape', where sea birds love to perch, with rock pools, blow holes, and plenty more to explore!
